Hey guys!
Today it is time for another manicure for the April Nail Art Challenge with Fancy Friday!
The challenge today is nimbus and I made an easter-themed skittlette (as I wore this manicure for an easter lunch).
For the manicure I started off with a white base of OPI Alpine Snow on my middle finger, ring finger, and pinky, and a yellow base of OPI I Just Can't Cope-Acabana on my pointer and thumb. Afterwards I followed this tutorial by Sammy of The Nailasaurus using the following polishes: OPI I Just Can't Cope-Acabana (yellow), Essie Blossom Dandy (mint), and Essie Mojito Madness (green). To finish off the skittlette I applied China Glaze Fairy Dust to my pinky.
It is the first time I tried making a nimbus manicure, but definitely not the last!
What do you guys think about this nimbus nail art? Let me know in the comments!
Stay polished.

April Nail Art Challenge: Purple
Hi girls!
Time for another manicure for the April Nail Art Challenge with Fancy Friday!
The challenge today is purple and I made a purple skittlette featuring sideway gradients.
For the manicure I started off with a light purple base of By K. Lavender Blue on my middle finger, ring finger, and pinky, and a purple base of OPI Do You Have This Color in Stock-Holm? on my pointer and thumb. Afterwards I used the two polishes and a make-up sponge to make the gradient effect on my middle and ring finger. To finish off the skittlette I applied China Glaze Fairy Dust to my pinky.
The manicure I first made for today's challenge was a major nail fail, but I love how this one turned out!
What do you guys think about this purple nail art? Let me know in the comments!

April Nail Art Challenge: Texture
Hey guys!
Time for the second manicure in the April Nail Art Challenge with Fancy Friday!
The challenge today is texture and I made a texture gradient inspired by Frk. Mia.
For the manicure I started off with a base of OPI Glitter Off base coat for easy removal. Afterwards I made the gradient effect with a make-up sponge and the two texture polishes: OPI It's Frosty Outside (silver) and Essie Lots of Lux (blue).
Clean-up was a bitch on this one, but I like how it turned out!
What do you guys think about this texture nail art? Let me know in the comments!

Hey guys!
Time for the first manicure in the April Nail Art Challenge with Fancy Friday!
The challenge today is glitter and I made this glitter nail art inspired by Anna Gorelova.
For the manicure I started off with a black base of Essie Licorice. When that was completely dry I applied Stripe Nail Vinyls from Glam My Mani in different angles on my nails. Lastly I applied one coat of piCture polish Holiday and removed the nail vinyls.
I love how this turned out! So simple and classy!

China Glaze Point Me to the Party
Hey guys!
Today I have a simple swatch and review of China Glaze Point Me to the Party from the newest China Glaze collection to show you!
Point Me to the Party is a neon glitter with green, blue, pink, purple, and orange glitters in various sizes.
The formula was good and it was easy to apply. The glitter pay-off was good as well, but it was a bit heavy on the base.
Down below I used one coat over white.
I love how festive and fun this glitter is!
What do you guys think about it? Let me know in the comments!

Anniversary
Hey guys!
Yesterday me and my boyfriend had our three year anniversary together!
I made a pink gradient for the occasion.
For the manicure I started off with a pink base of Essie Fiji. Afterwards I made the gradient effect with a make-up sponge and the following polishes (from lightest to darkest): Essie Fiji, Essie Lovie Dovie, and Essie Watermelon. To finish off the manicure I applied China Glaze Fairy Dust on top of the gradient.
This manicure is a tad too girly for me, but it was perfect for our anniversary!

Fancy Friday: Astronomy
Hello ladies!
Remember to check out what the other girls created for this week's challenge down below!
Today it is time for another Fancy Friday manicure. The theme this week is astronomy and I made a galaxy manicure with my new Yves Saint Laurent Nuit Noire, which means black night!
| Three coats with one layer of top coat |
For the manicure I started off with Yves Saint Laurent Nuit Noire on all my nails. Nuit Noire is a black jelly polish with black and silver square glitter and a pearlescent shimmer. It takes three coats to build up to full opacity. Afterwards I used a make-up sponge and the following polishes to make the galaxy effect on my nails: OPI Alpine Snow (white), Essie Mesmerize (blue), Essie Borrowed and Blue (light blue), and Essie No Place Like Chrome (silver).
Even though Nuit Noire is difficult to work with, I love how it looks on the nails!
What do you guys think about Nuit Noire and this galaxy manicure? Let me know in the comments!

Floral
Hello ladies!
Today I made a floral skittlette that is perfect for spring!
For the manicure I started off with a purple base of Essie Lapis of Luxury on my pointer and thumb, and a white base of OPI Alpine Snow on my pinky, middle, and ring finger. Afterwards I applied floral water decals to my middle and ring finger. To finish off the skittlette I applied China Glaze Fairy Dust to my pinky.
The water decals I used for this manicure are from Born Pretty Store. They come in one sheet (#16259), so you have to cut it out in smaller pieces that fit your nails before use. On the sheet there are also some pink flowers you can use in another manicure.
I like these water decals as there are enough for numerous manicures (considering you only use them as an accent nail or two), they are really pretty and fun, they are easy to apply, and you get a lot for your money (they only cost $1.99!).
If you want to buy something in Born Pretty Store remember to use my coupon code SXKQ10 to get 10% off on your entire order and free international shipping. Click here to see their nail art products.
I really love how this floral skittlette turned out!

Boyfriend's Birthday
Hi girls!
Today is my boyfriend's birthday!
That is why I told him he could choose the design and nail polishes for my manicure today. He chose polka dots in various blue shades - he even chose which size dotting tool I should use!
For the manicure I started off with a blue base of Essie Avenue Maintain on all my nails. Afterwards I used a medium sized dotting tool to dot on a polka dot pattern in a different blue shade on each nail. On my pinky I used Essie Aruba Blue, on my ring finger I used OPI Get Your Number, on my middle finger I used Ciaté Skinny Jeans, on my pointer I used piCture pOlish Dragonfly, and on my thumb I used Etude House BL601.
Even though this is not my style, I really like how this manicure turned out!
What do you guys think about this blue dotticure? Let me know in the comments!

Hey guys!
Today I made a cute, summer-y manicure featuring little cherries!
For the manicure I started off with a white base of OPI Alpine Snow on my pinky, ring, and middle finger, and a red base of Yves Saint Laurent Rouge Pop Art on my pointer and thumb. For the cherry nail art on my ring and middle finger I used a dotting tool and the red nail polish to dot on the cherries followed by a small nail art brush and green acrylic paint to make the stems. To finish off the skittlette I applied China Glaze Fairy Dust to my pinky.
I think this manicure would be perfect for summer!

Fancy Friday: Multicolored Stamping
Hello ladies!
Today it is time for another Fancy Friday manicure!
The challenge this week is multicolored stamping. I did not know whether to make double stamping (two layers of stamping in two different colors) or gradient stamping (one layer of stamping with two different colors blend together). I went with the last one and I am really happy with the result!
For the manicure I started off with a light blue base of Deborah Lippmann Blue Orchid on all my nails. Afterwards I stamped the gradient chevrons on my middle and ring finger with MoYou London Fashionista Plate Collection 05, Mundo de Uñas Green, and Mundo de Uñas Turquoise. To finish off the skittlette I applied the silver glitter China Glaze Fairy Dust on my pinky.
I love how this turned out and it is definitly not the last time I will make multicolored stamping!

Twin Nails
Hi girls!
Today I have something different to show you guys - twin nails I did with the sweet Selina of @nailsbyselina.
We also used these manicures for a Danish challenge called MandagsMani (MondayMani), where the theme this week is window, which we interpreted as looking into a mirror (instead of out a window) and mirroring each other.
For the manicure I started off with the lilac creme Essie Lilacism on my thumb and pointer, the lilac/silver scattered holo piCture pOlish Lizzie on my middle and ring finger, and the dark purple scattered holo piCture pOlish Hussy on my pinky.
For the nail art on middle and ring finger I water marbled using Essie Lilacism, piCture pOlish Lizzie and piCture pOlish Hussy.
Doing twin nails was really fun and I hope it is not the last time I get the opportunity.

Decisions, decisions
Hey guys!
I have so many untried polishes right now, I don't even know which one(s) to try on first (a real first world problem, right?)! I actually made a deal with myself that I won't buy any more nail polish until I have tried them all!
Today I would like to share two of my untrieds with you guys: Yves Saint Laurent Rouge Pop Art and piCture pOlish Minty.
Yves Saint Laurent is a red crelly (a mix of creme and jelly - read more about it here) that is opaque in two thin coats. I love bright reds so of course I needed this one in my life!
piCture pOlish Minty is a mint green crelly with matte white and dark pink glitter and a scattered holographic shimmer - so unique.
I love these two together!
What do you guys think about this combination? Let me know in the comments!

Hello ladies!

I also want to show you guys my New Year's manicures from 2012 and 2013 to show you how much I have developed these last years!
I am really proud of how much I have developed!

Fancy Friday: Favorites of 2014
Hello ladies!
Today I have this year's last Fancy Friday challenge: my favorite manicures of 2014.
Down below I have chosen my personal top 5 manicures from 2014.
Number 5
My fifth most loved manicure from 2014 is this very simple manicure featuring pastel studs. I love how some studs can turn any simple manicure into something more interesting.
You can see the blog post for this simple manicure here!
Number 4
My number four favorite manicure from 2014 is this stamped christmas sweater skittlette. I just recently got into stamping and I definitely need some more practice, but I really like the technique.
You can check out the blog post for this manicure here.
Number 3
My third most loved manicure of 2014 is this dry marble skittlette. I love this simple technique and especially this one with two lovely blue shades!
You can check out my blog post about this manicure here.
Number 2
A close second favorite manicure of 2014 is this beautiful water marble skittlette manicure I wore for the first day of uni. Even though water marbling is the hardest technique for me, I love how it turns out every time!
You can see my blog post about this manicure here.
Number 1
My absolute favorite manicure from 2014 is this tribal print gradient manicure that I made for Neglenymferne! In 2014 I really got into gradients as they are so easy to do (except for the clean-up part) and look amazing.
You can see my guest blog post here and my own blog post here.
Which of the nail art I made this year is your favorite? Which are your favorite of your own creations?
