Thermal

Hi girls!

Today I have a swatch and review of the thermal nail polish Born Pretty #18931 in the color 103 to share with you guys!
103 is blue when it is in its warm state and purple when it is cold.

The formula was really good - not to thick and not to thin, and really easy to apply. It was nearly a one-coater, but I used two thin coats for the picture below. The thermal effect was amazing as well and it shifts perfectly between the two colors! On the picture it makes a gradient effect as it is warm near the cuticles but cold at the end of the nails.

This nail polish is from Born Pretty Store and it costs $3.99 for 6 ml.
If you guys plan on buying something in Born Pretty Store, remember to use my coupon code SXKQ10 for 10% off your entire order and free international shipping! Check out their nail art items here.

I really like the thermal effect in this nail polish and I am definitely going to buys some more!

F.U.N Lacquer Million Dollar Dream

Hello ladies!

Today I have another F.U.N Lacquer swatch to show you guys - this time it is of Million Dollar Dream!
Million Dollar Dream is a gold holographic glitter in a clear base.

The formula was good - a little on the thick side, but that just made it easier to apply. The glitter pay-off was amazing and it is opaque on its own in three thin coats or one coat followed by one sponged coat. It does dry a little textured so you will need to add a generous layer of top coat to smooth it out.

Another beautiful F.U.N Lacquer! I need more! I need more holo in my life!

She sells sea-shells...

Hi girls!

Today I have a manicure inspired by Cathy at More Nail Polish to show you guys!

For the manicure I started off with a blue base of Essie Salt Water Happy on all my nails, except for my pinky on which I applied the silver texture polish OPI It's Frosty Outside. Afterwards I applied silver striping tape, pearls, silver caviar beads, and silver shell studs to my middle and ring finger.

The silver shell studs I used for this manicure is from Born Pretty Store. They come in a wheel (#21238) with shell studs, starfish studs and square studs - each in two different colors and two different sizes.
I really like these studs as they are perfect for summer, easy to use, and because they are so cheap (the wheel costs $4.39 for a lot of studs!).
If you guys want to buy something in Born Pretty Store, remember to use my coupon code for 10% off your entire order and free international shipping! Check out their nail art items here.

These shell studs are the cutest and this manicure is perfect for summer!

Triangular

Hello ladies!

Today I made some awesome nail art inspired by @sloteazzy!

For the manicure I started off with a blue base of the beautiful shimmer polish Essie Aruba Blue on all my nails. Then I followed this tutorial by sloteazzy using striping tape, the matte top coat Essie Matte About You and triangular studs.

The studs I used for this manicure is from Born Pretty Store. They come in a pack of 20 (#16677) and you can chose from silver and gold.
I really like these studs as they are easy to use and because they look so cool on the nails!

F.U.N Lacquer 24 Karat Diamond

Hello ladies!

Today I have a swatch and review of F.U.N Lacquer 24 Karat Diamond to show you guys!
24 Karat Diamond is a silver holographic glitter in a clear base.

The glitter pay-off of this polish is AMAZING and it is completely opaque with three thin coats (or one normal coat followed by one sponged coat). The formula is a little thick because of all the glitter, but that just makes it easier to apply.

This nail polish is so freaking beautiful! It looks like a unicorn puked all over my nails and the holo is SO strong! The picture does not do it any justice, but I uploaded a video to my Instagram!

This holo is so beautiful I could die!

No-Rub Gel Review

Hi girls!

Today I have a review of the No-Rub Gel to share with you guys!
The No-Rub Gel is an acetone gel for easy removal of glitter polish with no rubbing.

First things first: bling up!
I started off with four different glitters (from pointer to pinky): Essie Rock at the Top, OPI Honey Ryder, L'Oréal Gold Leaf, and China Glaze Golden Enchantment. The black base is Essie Licorice.

When the polish was completely dry all the way through, I followed the instructions on the jar:
1. Dip the nail in the jar and cover it completely with the acetone gel. Remember to close the lid tightly.
2. Let the acetone gel sit on the nail for 4 minutes.
3. Wipe off the gel and nail polish with a paper towel. Wash hands with soap.

And now for the results.
It does exactly what it promises!
Compared to the foil method this product is quicker and easier to use, but does the same thing. Upon removal of the acetone gel, there was a little polish residue around my cuticles, but it comes right off with a little rubbing. Other than the polish residue, I am really happy with this product.

Glitter removal is gonna be so much easier now!

OPI Color Paints

Hello ladies!

Today I made a skittlette inspired by Anne Kristina Hartvig using the new OPI Color Paints.

For the manicure I started off with a silver base of OPI Silver Canvas on all my nails. Afterwards I applied the silver holographic glitter to my pinky. Then I applied OPI Turquoise Asthetic, OPI Pen & Pink, and OPI Primarily Yellow layered a little over each other to my middle finger, ring finger, and pinky.

I really like this OPI collection!

Simplicity

Hey guys!

Today I have a very simple manicure to show you.

I used the mint green OPI That's Hula-rious from the OPI Hawaii collection for spring 2015. The formula is amazing - it applies like butter - and it only needs two coats to be completely opaque!

The nail decoration I used for this manicure is from Born Pretty Store. It comes in a two-pack (#10749 in the pattern #21).
I have been thinking about getting these nail decoration for a long time and I am so glad I finally did - they are so pretty and really easy to use!

Exam

Hey guys!

Tomorrow I have an exam in cognitive psychology so today I applied green nail polish true to tradition and because green is the color of hope!

The green polish I chose was piCture pOlish Enchanting, which is a green scattered holo.
The formula is amazingly creamy and it is opaque in two thin coats. It is a bit more warm-toned in real life as to what the picture shows though.

I am really nervous for my exam so wish me luck!

It's so fluffy!

Hi girls!

Today I have some simple nail art to share with you guys - fluffy nails!

For the manicure I started off with a red base of Essie Happy Wife Happy Life from the new Essie Bridal 2015 Collection. While the polish was still wet I dipped my finger in red flocking powder and removed the residual flocking powder with a fan brush.

The flocking powder I used for this manicure is from Born Pretty Store. It comes in a tub with approximately 10 g (#4507 in the color Red).
I like this flocking powder as it is really fun to wear, because it is sooo easy to use, and because you get a lot for money (it is $2.99)!
If you want to buy something in Born Pretty Store remember to use my coupon code SXKQ10 for 10% off and free international shipping. See their nail art items here!

I think this fluffy manicure is so much fun!

By K. Early Summer

Hi lovelies!

Today I have a review and swatches of the new By K. Early Summer collection.
By K. is a Danish nail polish brand, that is both 5-free, vegan, cruelty-free, and allergy-certified!
The collection consists of three polishes. I swatched them using By K. Basecoat Therapy Strengthener and By K. High Gloss Top Coat.

First up is By K. Freezing Fog - a retro off-white pearlescent nail polish. The formula was good - a little streaky on the first coat, but it builds up nicely in three thin coats.

Next is By K. Happy Landing, which is a pink pearlescent nail polish. The formula was great and it was opaque in two coats. The dry-time on these polishes are amazing as well - two minutes and you are ready to go!

The last polish of this collection is By K. OY-MAK - a red/coral, almost neon, nail polish. The formula was fantastic and it applies on the nails like butter. The opacity is amazing as well and it is almost a one-coater!

I really like this collection, but I have to say OY-MAK is my favorite!

April Nail Art Challenge: Red

Hello ladies!

Today I have another manicure for the April Nail Art Challenge to show you guys!
The challenge is red and I swatched and reviewed Christian Louboutin Rouge Louboutin.

I had originally decided that I was going to make nail art for every challenge this month, but for this polish I am willing to make an exception.

Rouge Louboutin is a red creme.
The formula is amazing and it applies like butter! The opacity is amazing as well and it is opaque in just one thick or two thin coats.

I got this polish from my boyfriend for christmas and I love it so much!

Point Me to the Party is a neon glitter with green, blue, pink, purple, and orange glitters in various sizes.

The formula was good and it was easy to apply. The glitter pay-off was good as well, but it was a bit heavy on the base.

Exam

Hello ladies!

Tomorrow I have an exam in neurobiological psychology and today I painted my nails green, as green is the colour of hope!

I decided to wear piCture pOlish Hercynia.
Hercynia is a forest green polish with a holographic bijou finish.
The formula was good - it was really easy to apply with minimum clean-up. The opacity was good as well. I applied two coats on the picture below, but it could have used three.

I am really nervous about my exam, but I love how my nails look!

Fancy Friday: Astronomy

Hello ladies!

Today it is time for another Fancy Friday manicure. The theme this week is astronomy and I made a galaxy manicure with my new Yves Saint Laurent Nuit Noire, which means black night!

Three coats with one layer of top coat

For the manicure I started off with Yves Saint Laurent Nuit Noire on all my nails. Nuit Noire is a black jelly polish with black and silver square glitter and a pearlescent shimmer. It takes three coats to build up to full opacity. Afterwards I used a make-up sponge and the following polishes to make the galaxy effect on my nails: OPI Alpine Snow (white), Essie Mesmerize (blue), Essie Borrowed and Blue (light blue), and Essie No Place Like Chrome (silver).

Even though Nuit Noire is difficult to work with, I love how it looks on the nails!

Queen

Hi girls!

As I said earlier, I always call myself Queen Louise as a joke and today I made a manicure inspired by just that!

For the manicure I started off with the beautiful piCture pOlish Freya's Cats on all my nails. Afterwards I applied the crown charm in the still wet top coat on my ring finger.

Freya's Cats is a royal blue scattered holo (get it? Royal blue). The formula is awesome and it applies like butter! The opacity is good as well and the polish is opaque in two coats.

The crown charm I used for this manicure is from Born Pretty Store. It comes in a pack of two (#17695 in the model #514), but they are reusable if you clean them with nail polish remover or acetone after use. They also come in other models in different shapes (bows, crowns, and flowers) and sizes.
I like these charms as they are an easy way to turn any manicure into something a little more festive and fun, they are easy to use, and they are really pretty!

Essie Coat Couture

Hello ladies!

Today I have a swatch and review of Essie Coat Couture from the new Essie Cashmere Matte Collection to share with you guys!
Coat Couture is a taupe/purple matte nail polish with aqua blue shimmer.

The formula was amazing, it was easy to work with and it was really self-levelling - especially for a matte polish. The opacity was amazing as well and it was opaque in just two thin coats.
Down below I used two coats and no top coat.

And here it is with a shiny top coat.

I love this polish both matte and shiny!

Decisions, decisions

Hey guys!

I have so many untried polishes right now, I don't even know which one(s) to try on first (a real first world problem, right?)! I actually made a deal with myself that I won't buy any more nail polish until I have tried them all!

Today I would like to share two of my untrieds with you guys: Yves Saint Laurent Rouge Pop Art and piCture pOlish Minty.

Yves Saint Laurent is a red crelly (a mix of creme and jelly - read more about it here) that is opaque in two thin coats. I love bright reds so of course I needed this one in my life!
piCture pOlish Minty is a mint green crelly with matte white and dark pink glitter and a scattered holographic shimmer - so unique.

I love these two together!
What do you guys think about this combination? Let me know in the comments!
