New Year Manicure #3

Hello ladies!

Today I made the last New Years Eve manicure this year, so I am ready for tonight.
I call it a Glitter Bomb Manicure!

I started off with two layers of a silver shimmer polish as a base. Then I created a gradient effect with Essie Set in Stones, which is a chunky silver glitter.
This is a really simple and easy way to make the craziest glitter bomb for New Year's Eve, without using any nail art tools at all!

I love it and I hope you do too!

New Year Manicure #2

Hello ladies!

Tonight I made some more New Years Eve nail art for you.
It is another Fire Works manicure! This time it is a bit more realistic looking.

I started off by painting all my nails black with two coats of Maybelline Onyx Black to represent the night sky. Then I dabbed on some silver nail polish and on top of that some silver glitter nail polish different places on the nails to represent the fire works. Afterwards I used my white Barry M nail art pen (they are amazing! Would you like a review of them?) to dot on some tiny dots in the shapes of a fire works.

What do you think?

New Year Manicure #1

Hey girls!

Today I made some New Years Eve nail art for you.
It is a Cartoon Fire Work manicure!
The manicure does not look like I intended it to look like, but I like how it ended up looking.

I started off with a black base. Then I used my brand new Barry M nail art pens, that I got for christmas. I used the white one (I got three - black, white and pink) to draw fireworks on my nails. Then I layered various colours over the white base to make the manicure pop! Finally I added a top coat to seal in the design and add some beautiful shine.

Black Shatter

Hey guys!

Today I layered OPI Black Shatter over the white and gold saran wrap manicure from yesterday.
I really like the many layers and what they do to each other, especially the peak of golds behind the black shatter.

I got some really good pictures. The weather is just perfect for photographing today!

Gold Saran Wrap Comparison

Hey guys!

Today I made a manicure using the saran wrap technique.
The reason for me to make this manicure is because I am really lemming the Gold Leaf top coat by Dance Legend I ordered yesterday and I cannot wait for it to arrive!
Here you can see the nail polish top coat layered over Nicole by OPI Tink's in the Pink.

This is my first attempt to make a saran wrap manicure and also my first attempt to tame one of my many lemmings for polishes.

I started off by painting all my nails white with two thick coats of OPI Alpine Snow. Then I rolled a piece of cling film into a ball and randomly painted some gold nail polish on top of the ball, like so:

Then I quickly dabbed the side of the cling film ball with nail polish on onto my nails until I was happy with the amount of nail polish on the nail. I finished off with a layer of Seche Vite Dry Fast top coat.

I know it is not quite the same as the Gold Leaf top coat, but I really dig this manicure! It is kind of awesome with a marble-like effect.
What do you guys think? Do you like it?

Etude House swatches

Hey girls!

Today I have the cutest polishes to show you guys. They are shaped like little ice cream cones! So adorable.

I swatched four out of eight nail polishes in the Etude House Sweet Recipe Ice Cream Nails collection. Overall the formulas of the creme nail polishes were perfection! And the colors are the perfect pastels - love it.

GR701 - Green Apple
This polish is a pretty, pastel green - a fairly unique shade.
For the picture below I used two coats, although it could have used another one. The formula was so good and creamy and applications was really easy.

PK001 - Strawberry
This polish is a typical pastel pink. A totally barbie shade!
For the picture below I used two coats for perfect coverage. The formula was great and so was application.

BL601 - Blue Mint
This nail polish is a beautiful turquoise blue. Nail polishes like this is always the kind of shade I gravitate towards - sooo pretty!
For the picture below I used two layers and they covered perfectly. Again the formula was excellent and the polish was so easy to apply.

OR202 - Peach
This polish is a light orange - the perfect pastel peach.
For the picture below I used two coats for full opaqueness. The formula was perfect - smooth and creamy and the polish was easy to apply.
This colour would look so good on sunburnt skin!

Christmas Manicure #12

Hey girls!

Tonight it is christmas eve and I made the last christmas nail art for you this year. However sad that is, it turned out really cute and pretty.
It is a Santa Claus Manicure!

I painted all my nails red with one or two layers of Essie Lollipop, except for one of my two accent nails, which I painted a light skin colour with Essie Adore-A-Ball.
For Santa's head I dabbed on some red nail polish on one third of the nail. Once that was dry I dotted on Santa's beard, sideburns and the white part of his hat (whatever that is called) with various sized dotting tools and some white nail polish. Lastly I added his two black eyes and pink nose with a small dotting tool and his crooked smile with a small nail striper and some black nail polish.
For Santa's suit I dotted on the white, fluffy part of it with a big dotting tool and some white nail polish. Then I painted on his belt with some black nail polish and a nail striper. Finally I dotted on his belt buckle with a small dotting tool and some gold nail polish.

It is really adorable, right?
Merry christmas everybody!
