Animal Themed Manicure #1

Hey guys!

So today I am starting a brand new nail art theme with animal print manicures.
The first manicure in the series is a purple leopard print manicure!

I started off with a purple base of Essie Play Date. Then I used a big dotting tool and darker shade of purple, Max Factor Amethyst, to dot on some randomly sized and shaped spots around the nail. Lastly I used a smaller dotting tool and some black nail polish to outline the spots, some with C-shapes and some like brackets.

As you can see I did not have the time to add a top coat before taking pictures, so sorry about that!

What do you think of the nail art theme?

Snowflake Manicure

Hello ladies!

Today I made some nail art for you guys.
It is a blue gradient manicure with white snowflakes!

My base is a (very subtle) blue gradient of Essie Avenue Maintain and OPI Dating a Royal. I used my white Barry M Nail Art Pen to draw on the snowflakes and I used Essie Set in Stones for a little extra in the middle of every snowflake.

I am so proud of myself and I really love this manicure! Just perfect for winter!

Do you guys like it as much as I do?

Essie No Place like Chrome

Hello girls!

Today I am wearing another nail polish from Essie's Mirror Metallics Collection - Essie No Place like Chrome.
No Place like Chrome is a metallic silver nail polish.

Again today I used a base of Essie Fill the Gap! to smooth out the surface of the nail, so the metallic nail polish won't show every little imperfection.

This nail polish is ridiculously opaque and covers the nails completely by the first layer. The second layer I just apply to smooth out the streaks. Dry time is also insanely quick!

I took some pictures in different lightnings for you.

I am thinking of making a ruffian manicure with this nail polish as a base and a dark blue nail polish on top of it! What do you think of that idea?

Essie Good as Gold

Hey girls!

Yesterday I got no less than nine new Essie polishes - yaay!
Of course I could not wait to try them on, so I did a manicure with Essie Good as Gold as soon as I had the time.
Essie Good as Gold is a metallic chrome like gold nail polish.

I used a base of Essie Fill the Gap!, which is a ridge filling base coat, to smooth out the nail and prep it for polishes like metallics or holographics, that show every little imperfection on the nails.

Application was good. Good as Gold is a smooth and very opaque polish, so it is fairly easy to apply. It is a good idea to wait a few minutes between the layers as it can drag the first layer if it is not dry yet.

I also bought the other nail polishes in the Essie Mirror Metallics collection. Would you guys like me to swatch them as well?

New Year Manicure #3

Hello ladies!

Today I made the last New Years Eve manicure this year, so I am ready for tonight.
I call it a Glitter Bomb Manicure!

I started off with two layers of a silver shimmer polish as a base. Then I created a gradient effect with Essie Set in Stones, which is a chunky silver glitter.
This is a really simple and easy way to make the craziest glitter bomb for New Year's Eve, without using any nail art tools at all!

I love it and I hope you do too!

New Year Manicure #2

Hello ladies!

Tonight I made some more New Years Eve nail art for you.
It is another Fire Works manicure! This time it is a bit more realistic looking.

I started off by painting all my nails black with two coats of Maybelline Onyx Black to represent the night sky. Then I dabbed on some silver nail polish and on top of that some silver glitter nail polish different places on the nails to represent the fire works. Afterwards I used my white Barry M nail art pen (they are amazing! Would you like a review of them?) to dot on some tiny dots in the shapes of a fire works.

What do you think?

New Year Manicure #1

Hey girls!

Today I made some New Years Eve nail art for you.
It is a Cartoon Fire Work manicure!
The manicure does not look like I intended it to look like, but I like how it ended up looking.

I started off with a black base. Then I used my brand new Barry M nail art pens, that I got for christmas. I used the white one (I got three - black, white and pink) to draw fireworks on my nails. Then I layered various colours over the white base to make the manicure pop! Finally I added a top coat to seal in the design and add some beautiful shine.
