Fancy Friday: Skittlette

Hello ladies!

Today I have another Fancy Friday manicure for you guys!
Fancy Friday is a group of Danish nail polish keen bloggers, that follows a joint challenge in the world of nail polish and nail art every friday.

This time the Fancy Friday challenge is a skittlette manicure!
If you do not know what a skittlette manicure is, you can read about how Marta from Chit Chat Nails explains it here.

For the manicure I used the much discussed nail polish Sally Hansen Pacific Blue on my thumb and index finger, Essie Licorice with Essie Blanc dots on my middle and ring finger and OPI It's Frosty Outside on my pinky.

I am obsessed with how this turned out! I am definitely going to make more skittlette manicures in the future!

18 Picnic Day

Hey guys!

Today I have another manicure for the June Nail Art Challenge for you - a Picnic Day manicure!

"International Picnic Day celebrates the gathering together outdoors to eat and enjoy one another's company - The Picnic. The true origin of International Picnic Day is unknown, but can be traced back to the French Revolution and the Victorian Era. Picnics were ways for people to escape the restrictions of etiquette and formality. As an informal food holiday, there are few rules and lots of options. International Picnic Day is observed on June 18th each year." (Source).

For the manicure I started off with a white base of Essie Blanc. Afterwards I used a small nail art brush and the red nail polish Essie Lollipop to freehand horizontal and vertical lines to make my nails look like a picnic blanket.

15 Fathers Day

Hey guys!

Today I have another manicure for the June Nail Art Challenge for you - a Fathers Day manicure!

In Denmark we celebrate Fathers Day on the 5th of June every year, so I already celebrated it this year. My little brother and I gave our father a specialty beer and some peanuts.

I really did not know what to do for this manicure! I thought long and hard about doing beer nails, suit nails or something like that. Then I remembered this manicure by Erin at Paint Those Piggies and I decided to use the idea!

I told my father to pick between two and five polishes. He chose the white polish Essie Blanc, the black polish Essie Licorice and the green polish Essie Going Incognito, and told me to do football nails, because every dad is watching the World Cup these days! And that is what I did!

I love how these turned out! So fun and sporty!

Fancy Friday: Geometrical

Hello ladies!

Today I have another Fancy Friday manicure for you guys!
Fancy Friday is a group of Danish nail polish keen blogger, that follows a joint challenge in the world of nail polish and nail art every friday.

This time the Fancy Friday challenge is geometrical nail art!
I was inspired by this edgy manicure by The Nailasaurus to make a geometrical ruffian manicure!

I started off with a light blue base of By K. Blue Fog on all of my fingers. Afterwards I used a nail art striper and the dark blue polish By K. Ink to make rectangles on my nails - and there you have it: a geometrical ruffian manicure!

I love how simple and pretty this geometrical manicure turned out!

11 Neon Gradient

Hi girls!

Today I have yet another manicure for the June Nail Art Challenge for you guys! This time it is a neon gradient.

To make this neon gradient I followed this simple tutorial by The Nailasaurus using two polishes from the Essie Neon 2014 Collection: Essie Too Taboo and Essie I'm Addicted.

Making a gradient manicure is so difficult and time-consuming, but I still love how they turn out every time - and this time is no exception!

Medina by GOSH

Hey guys!

Medina is a Danish pop, dance and R&B singer and songwriter. She is one of the most famous singers in Denmark and she cooperated with the Danish cosmetics company GOSH to create a line of cosmetics called Medina by GOSH consisting of make-up, nail polishes and fragrances.
Today I have swatches of two out of the eight nail polishes from Medina by GOSH.

The first nail polish I have for you guys is called Mocca.
Mocca is a tan nude or light brown creme polish. The formula was good - almost a one-coater, but I applied two coats for the picture down below. The only problem I had with this polish was that it was not very self-leveling.

Medina is a deep red crelly polish. The formula was good - nice and smooth. The opacity was also great - almost a one-coater as well, but I applied two coats to cover up any VNL.
I am in love with this shade of red - it is just perfect!

I also made some nail art with the two polishes from Medina by GOSH. I was inspired by this manicure by The Nailasaurus.
In this manicure you can really see how well the two colours go together!

Lastly I would like to show you guys one of my favorite song by Medina.

I love these Medina by GOSH polishes!
What do you girls think about the polishes? Let me know in the comments!

Fancy Friday: Ice Cream

Hello ladies!

Today I have something new for you guys: Fancy Friday.
Fancy Friday is a group of Danish nail polish keen bloggers, that follows a joint challenge in the world of nail polish and nail art every friday.

My first Fancy Friday Challenge is nail art inspired by ice cream. When I heard the title of the challenge I immediately thought about my Etude House polishes, because the bottles are shaped like little ice cream cones. You can see my reviews and swatches of those here.
I decided upon using one of the Etude House polishes in today's manicure!

For the manicure I started off with a matte pink base of Etude House PK001 Stawberry and Essie Matte About You to make my nails resemble strawberry ice cream. Afterwards I followed this tutorial by cutepolish on YouTube, using Essie Lady Godiva (dark brown) to resemble the chocolate sauce, and Essie Blanc (white), Essie Mint Candy Apple (mint blue), Ciaté Big Yellow Taxi (yellow), Essie Mojito Madness (green) and Essie Watermelon (dark pink) to resemble the sprinkles. But instead of using a striper like cutepolish does in her video, I used a dotting tool to make my sprinkles round.

I love how this turned out - it really does look like strawberry ice cream with chocolate sauce and sprinkles!
