Hey guys!
Today I have some simple nail art to share with you - a nail foil manicure!
I got my nail foils really cheap at a Danish seller, who is having a closing sale.
I started off with a black base of Essie Licorice. Afterwards I followed this tutorial by The Nail Polish Challenge on YouTube using blue nail foil.
Unfortunately I applied top coat, which dulled the nail foil effect a little, but I still think it looks pretty cool!
What do you girls think about this simple nail art? Let me know in the comments!
Stay polished.

Yves Saint Laurent Bleu Cyclades
Hi girls!
Today I have a swatch and review of another Yves Saint Laurent nail polish - the beautiful Bleu Cyclades from their Summer 2014 Collection.
Bleu Cyclades is a deep blue shimmer.
The formula was amazing - it was smooth, easy to apply, and opaque in just two thin coats with no staining upon removal! I really do think that Yves Saint Laurent polishes are worth the extra money - they are just perfect!
I love this polish - it is dark, but it's like it's shining from within!

Guest post for Neglenymfer
Hello ladies!
Today I did a guest post for Sussi & Maja at Neglenymfer.
The theme for the guest post was Pink Saturday for Breast Cancer Awareness and I decided to make a pink gradient with a black tribal print!
I was inspired by this manicure by Maria at Miss Chinchilly!
For the manicure I started off with a white base of Essie Blanc. Afterwards I used a make-up sponge to make the pink gradient with Essie Fiji, Essie Lovie Dovie and Essie Watermelon. When that was dry I used a small nail art brush and black acrylic paint to freehand on the tribal print. I topped the manicure of with a matte top coat of Essie Matte About You!
I really, really love how these turned out - definitely a different take on a Breast Cancer Awareness manicure!

Fancy Friday: Cake Decoration
Hello ladies!
Today I have some Fancy Friday nail art to show you guys!
This time the challenge is International Cake Decoration Day and I decided to recreate an old cupcake manicure from before I even had this blog. That is why I decided to make another Then & Now to show you guys how much I have developed these last years.
The 'Then' manicure is from about a year and a half ago and I used one of my very first Essies for the base: Essie Mint Candy Apple.
For the 'Now' manicure I started off with the same blue base of Essie Mint Candy Apple. Afterwards I followed this tutorial by cutepolish on YouTube using Essie Lovie Dovie (pink), Essie Pink Happy (dark pink), Maybelline Coral Craze (orange), acrylic paints (white and red) and a small nail art brush.
I am really proud of how much I have developed these last years!

Essie Pinking About You
Hi girls!
As promised I have a swatch and review of Essie Pinking About You from the new Breast Cancer Awareness 2014 Collection for you guys today.
Pinking About You is a matte pink glitter.
The formula and glitter pay-off was amazing - and the best part: no fishing for the big pieces!
Down below I used one coat of Essie Pinking About You over Sally Hansen Pacific Blue (original formula).
Even though I do not care for this colour combination, I really like the glitter!
What do you girls think about this matte glitter? Let me know in the comments!

Breast Cancer Awareness
Hello ladies!
Today I have some more nail art to show you guys - a simple water marble skittlette manicure for Breast Cancer Awareness!
I used two (out of three) polishes from the new Essie Breast Cancer Awareness 2014 Collection: I Pink I Can and Pink Happy.
A swatch and review of the last polish from the collection - Essie Pinking About You - will be up tomorrow!
For the manicure I started off with a light pink base of Essie I Pink I Can on my pinky, ring and middle finger. On my index finger and thumb I started off with a berry pink base of Essie Pink Happy. For the water marble on my ring and middle finger, I used both Essie I Pink I Can and Essie Pink Happy. To finish off the skittlette I applied China Glaze Fairy Dust on my pinky.
The two cremes from the Essie Breast Cancer Awareness 2014 Collection is amazing for water marbling!

Newspaper
Hi girls!
Today I have some simple nail art to show you: newspaper nails!
For the manicure I started off with a white base of Essie Blanc. Afterwards I dipped a piece of newspaper in some alcohol for about 5 seconds before I applied and pressed the wet newspaper on my nail for about 5 seconds.
Even though it is a little smudged I really like this manicure. I think the blurriness of the letters adds to the style!
