Literary Lacquers The Ultimate Outlaw

Hi girls!

Today I have another swatch and review of one of my new Literary Lacquers nail polishes that I won in The Digital Dozen 2nd giveaway! This time it is The Ultimate Outlaw!
The Ultimate Outlaw is a royal blue linear holographic.

The formula was good and it was really easy to work with. The opacity was good too - I applied three coats for it to be completely opaque, but you might be able to get away with two it you apply them a little thicker.

I keep staring on my nails and on this holographic beauty!

Literary Lacquers Mysterious Irrevocable Sacred

Hey guys!

I was one of the fifty-one lucky winners of The Digital Dozen's 2nd giveaway and I won six optional Literary Lacquers nail polishes - I am so lucky!
Today I will be showing you guys a swatch and review of one of my new Literary Lacquers polishes: Mysterious Irrevocable Sacred - a purple linear holographic polish with blue undertones.

The formula was good - it was nice and creamy and really easy to work with. It wasn't that opaque so I applied three thin coats for complete opacity, but you might be able to get away with two if you apply the coats a little thicker.

I am in love. In love with a nail polish! A beautiful, beautiful nail polish.

Purple Gradient

Hi girls!

Today I have some simple nail art to share with you guys - a purple gradient!

For the manicure I started off with a light purple base of Essie Lilacism. Afterwards I made the gradient effect using a make-up sponge and the following purple polishes: Essie No More Film, OPI Do You Have This Color in Stock-Holm? and Essie Lilacism.

I like how these turned out!

Fancy Friday: Breast Cancer Awareness

Hello ladies!

Today I have some Fancy Friday nail art to show you guys!
This time the challenge is Breast Cancer Awareness and I decided to make a dry marble skittlette manicure with two of the polishes from the new Essie Breast Cancer Awareness 2014 Collection.

For the manicure I started off with a light pink base of Essie I Pink I Can on my pinky, ring and middle finger and a fuchsia pink base of Essie Pink Happy on my pointer and thumb. For the nail art on my middle and ring finger, I applied Essie I Pink I Can on half the nail and Essie Pink Happy on the other half. Afterwards I used an orange stick to draw the Breast Cancer Awareness ribbon in the still wet nail polish. To finish off the skittlette I applied China Glaze Fairy Dust on my pinky.

I am really starting to love skittlette manicures!

Future Nail Polish Corner

Hello ladies!

Today I have something different for you guys: my ideas and plans for my future nail polish corner.
My boyfriend granted me a nail polish corner in our apartment, even though we only have about 50 square meters (approx. 60 square yards) - he is so sweet. Naturally I started dreaming, brainstorming, googling, planning, and organizing right away and here's what I found out!

I already own two red Helmers, but I am going to buy two new ones in white as that is the theme colour of my nail station - that way my nail polishes will be the focus. I will also buy a high gloss white table top, so the Helmers will be part of my desk. Instead of a traditional desk chair, I will buy an Erland chair and some faux sheep skin so I can sit comfortably while doing my nails. Lastly I will buy a work lamp and an acrylic nail polish stand for my untried or special nail polishes!

I cannot wait until January to buy this - I am so excited!

Nail Foil

Hey guys!

Today I have some simple nail art to share with you - a nail foil manicure!
I got my nail foils really cheap at a Danish seller, who is having a closing sale.

I started off with a black base of Essie Licorice. Afterwards I followed this tutorial by The Nail Polish Challenge on YouTube using blue nail foil.

Unfortunately I applied top coat, which dulled the nail foil effect a little, but I still think it looks pretty cool!

Yves Saint Laurent Bleu Cyclades

Hi girls!

Today I have a swatch and review of another Yves Saint Laurent nail polish - the beautiful Bleu Cyclades from their Summer 2014 Collection.
Bleu Cyclades is a deep blue shimmer.

The formula was amazing - it was smooth, easy to apply, and opaque in just two thin coats with no staining upon removal! I really do think that Yves Saint Laurent polishes are worth the extra money - they are just perfect!

I love this polish - it is dark, but it's like it's shining from within!
