Santa Claus

Hey guys!

Today I have some more christmas nail art I made for the Danish nail polish brand By K. to show you.
This time it is a Santa Claus manicure!

For the manicure I started off with a red base of By K. The Sky is the Limit on all my nails except for one of my two accent nails which I painted a skin color with By K. Pretty Nude.
For Santa Claus' head on my middle finger I applied the red By K. The Sky is the Limit to one third of the nail. Afterwards I used a dotting tool and white acrylic paint to dot on Santa's beard, sideburns and the white part of his hat. Lastly I added his eyes and mouth with a small brush and black acrylic paint and his nose with the pink By K. Camelia Rose and a small dotting tool.
For Santa Claus' suit on my ring finger I dotted on the white, fluffy part of it with a big dotting tool and white acrylic paint. Afterwards I painted of the belt with a small brush and black acrylic paint. Finally I used the bronze By K. Copper Heart and a small brush to paint on the belt buckle.

I think this is adorable!

Christmas Trees

Hi girls!

In November I made some christmas nail art for the Danish nail polish brand By K. and during December I will be showing them to you.
First up is a christmas tree manicure!

To make this christmas tree manicure I started off with a fuchsia base of By K. Pink Dahlia. For the nail art on my ring and middle finger I used some tape and the teal green glitter By K. Waterfall to make triangles resembling christmas trees. Afterwards I used the silver holographic glitter By K. Super Nova and an orange stick to place the glitters like tinsels on the christmas tress. Lastly I placed the gold star studs from Born Pretty Store (#5003) on top of the trees.

I really like how I used untraditional christmas colors and how this turned out really christmas-y anyway!

Fancy Friday: Lead Light

Hello ladies!

Today I have some Fancy Friday nail art to share with you guys.
Today the challenge is lead light, which is a technique by Messy Mansion, where you add color to your stamping design with sheer nail polishes.

For the manicure I started off with a white base of Essie Blanc on all my nails. Afterwards I stamped the floral design on my middle and ring finger with MoYou London Pro plate collection 07 and Mundo de Uñas black stamping polish. Then I colored in the stamping design with the sheer nail polishes OPI Sheer Tints: I'm Never Ambarassed (yellow), Be Magentale With Me (pink), Don't Violet Me Down (purple) and I Can Teal You Like Me (blue). To finish off the skittlette manicure I added the silver glitter China Glaze Fairy Dust to my little finger.

I like the sketchy style of this nail art.

Candy Canes

Hi girls!

Today I have some christmas nail art to show you guys for the first time this year - candy canes!

For the manicure I started off with a white base of Essie Blanc. Afterwards I used the red nail polish Essie Lollipop and Stripe Nail Vinyls from Glam My Mani to make diagonal stripes to make it resemble candy canes.

I like how simple and cute these are!

Essie Summit of Style

Hey guys!

Today I have a swatch and review of one of the new Essie Luxeffects for 2014 - Summit of Style.
Summit of Style is a bronze glitter in a clear base.

The formula and glitter pay-off was so good and easy to work with!
Down below I applied one coat of Summit of Style over Essie Licorice.

I own 7 (out of 10) Essie Luxeffects and I am loving them all!

Fancy Friday: Watercolor

Hello ladies!

Time for some more Fancy Friday nail art!
Today the challenge is watercolor and I made a very simple skittlette manicure with a watercolor base.

For the manicure I started off with a white base of Essie Blanc. Afterwards I used the OPI Sheer Tints: I'm Never Amberassed (yellow), Be Magentale With Me (pink), Don't Violet Me Down (purple) and I Can Teal You Like Me (blue) to make the watercolor background of the manicure. On my ring and middle finger I applied a small, square stud from Born Pretty Store (#5003) and on my pinky I applied the silver glitter China Glaze Fairy Dust.

I made a watercolor manicure once before and I love it just as much this time!
