Anniversary

Hey guys!

Yesterday me and my boyfriend had our three year anniversary together!
I made a pink gradient for the occasion.

For the manicure I started off with a pink base of Essie Fiji. Afterwards I made the gradient effect with a make-up sponge and the following polishes (from lightest to darkest): Essie Fiji, Essie Lovie Dovie, and Essie Watermelon. To finish off the manicure I applied China Glaze Fairy Dust on top of the gradient.

This manicure is a tad too girly for me, but it was perfect for our anniversary!

Fancy Friday: Favorite Color

Hello ladies!

Today the theme in Fancy Friday is favorite color, so I made a blue ombré featuring negative space!

For the manicure I applied Single Chevron Nail Vinyls from Glam My Mani near the cuticle-area on my naked nails. Then I used five different blue polishes to paint one color on each nail. I used the following polishes (from lightest to darkest): Essie Borrowed and Blue, Deborah Lippmann Blue Orchid, Essie Avenue Maintain, Essie Mezmerise, and Essie Style Cartel.

I really like the result!

Leopard Ombré

Hello ladies!

Today I made a leopard ombré inspired by the amazingly talented Cathy of More Nail Polish.

For the manicure I started off with a coral (orange/pink) nail polish of piCture pOlish Paris. Afterwards I used different sized dotting tools and the red scattered holo piCture pOlish Bridget to make random dots that goes from big (on my thumb) to small (on my pinky). Lastly I outlined the dots with the black Essie Licorice and an orange stick.

I really love how this turned out!

Exam

Hello ladies!

Tomorrow I have an exam in neurobiological psychology and today I painted my nails green, as green is the colour of hope!

I decided to wear piCture pOlish Hercynia.
Hercynia is a forest green polish with a holographic bijou finish.
The formula was good - it was really easy to apply with minimum clean-up. The opacity was good as well. I applied two coats on the picture below, but it could have used three.

I am really nervous about my exam, but I love how my nails look!

Fancy Friday: Untried

Hello ladies!

Today it is time for this week's Fancy Friday with the theme untried.
I used an untried nail polish: Yves Saint Laurent Parme Graffiti.

For the manicure I started off with a purple base of Yves Saint Laurent Parme Graffiti on all my nails. Afterwards I used white acrylic paint, a dotting tool and round, gold studs to make the flowers.

I feel so ready for spring with this cute manicure!

Ruffian

Hey guys!

Today I made a simple Ruffian manicure.
I was inspired by Eva of Coewless as she is really into Ruffians at the moment!

For the manicure I started off with a silver base of Essie No Place Like Chrome. Afterwards I made the Ruffian effect by painting my nails a few millimeters from the cuticle-area with the dark blue Essie Style Cartel.

I love how classy Ruffian manicures are!

Bananas

Hey guys!

Today I made another skittlette featuring fruit - this time it was bananas!

For the manicure I started off with a purple base of OPI Funky Dunkey on all my nails. Afterwards I used yellow and black acrylic paint and a small nail art brush to paint the bananas on my middle and ring finger. To finish off the skittlette I applied China Glaze Fairy Dust to my pinky.

I do not know if this is a nail fail or not. I need to work on my freehand skill regardless!
