Negative Space

Hey guys!

Today I have some simple nail art to share with you featuring my signature accent nail!

For the manicure I started off with a deep blue base of Essie Style Cartel on all my nails. On my ring finger I only painted two thirds of the nail, cleaned op the edge of the design with a small nail art brush dipped in acetone, and finally added a piece of silver striping tape.

Close up!

I don't think I will ever get tired of this accent nail!

Abstract

Hey guys!

Today I have some abstract floral nail art to share with you!

For the manicure I started off with a white base of Essence Wild White Ways on my middle and ring finger, and a red base of Essie Really Red on my other nails. Afterwards I freehanded the abstract floral design with the green polish Essie First Timer, the coral polish Essie Signature Smile, the lilac polish By K. Lavender Blue, Essie Really Red, and a small nail art brush.

Then and Now

Hey guys!

Today I have some more Then and Now nail art to share with you!
I recreated this mix and match leopard and striped manicure from April of 2014.

For the leopard nails I started off with a taupe nude base of piCture pOlish Nougat on my middle finger, ring finger, and thumb. Afterwards I followed my own tutorial using the brown OPI Going My Way or Nor-Way?, the black Essie Licorice, and a dotting tool to create the leopard print.
For the striped nails I started off with a white base of Essence Wild White Ways on my pointer and pinky. Afterwards I used some thick striping tape and Essie Licorice to create the stripes.

And here is a comparison of Then and Now!

I am so happy with my development these last three years! I think the 'Now' manicure is much better than the 'Then' manicure.

Marble

Hey guys!

Today I have some stunning marble nails to share with you!
This nail art is actually a recreation of this mani I did last year.

For the manicure I started off with a white base of Essence Wild White Ways on my ring finger and pinky, and a red base of Essie Really Red on my middle finger, pointer, and thumb. For the marble nails I followed this tutorial by The Nailasaurus using Essence Wild White Ways, the grey polish OPI Embrace the Gray, and the black polish Essie Licorice. To finish everything off I added a thick piece of silver striping tape to my ring finger.

I love this marble technique - I have to try it out with some other colors soon!

OPI Turn on the Northern Lights!

Hey guys!

Today I have a swatch and review of the beautiful OPI Turn on the Northern Lights! to share with you!
Turn on the Northern Lights! is a deep blurple with a pink shimmer.

The formula is great - it is smooth and easy to apply. It needs two coats to build up opacity, but a third coat to deepen the color to match the color in the bottle.

The shimmer was really difficult to catch on camera, but you can see it on the macro shot below!

This shade is so beautiful - especially in the sun where the shimmer really stands out!

China Glaze Treble Maker

Hey guys!

Today I have a swatch and review of the awesome China Glaze Treble Maker to share with you!
Treble Maker is a green neon.

The formula is nice - it is easy to apply and it is not too thin or too thick. It did need three coats to achieve full opacity though, but the dry time between each layer is quick. It dries down to a satin finish, but it is nothing a good top coat can't fix.

I applied some neon studs from Born Pretty Store to my ring finger to give this mani a pop.
Here's a closer look!

This mani is so fun and eye-catching!

More Then and Now

Hey guys!

Today I have some more Then and Now nail art to share with you!
I recreated this mix and match glitter and striping tape manicure from 2014.

For the manicure I started off with a dusty purple base of Essie Warm & Toasty Turtleneck on all my nails. Afterwards I used the silver glitter Essie Set in Stones to create a glitter gradient on my middle and ring finger. On my other nails I placed some random lines of silver striping tape across the nails.

And here is a comparison of Then and Now!

I remember much I loved this manicure three years ago - and it is just as pretty today!
